Why does pat hate derek branning

These are the several feuds between individuals who argued and fought all across Walford about the problems that came from each of them. The feud between Derek Branning and David Wicks usually began because David was dating and developed a relationship with Derek's sister Carol. The feud occurred when Derek and David were teenagers at school and they argued and fought over Carol relentlessly.

It involved Derek terrorising David and his entire family including his mother Pat Wicks as he was dating Carol. Eventually when Derek found out that his sister Carol got pregnant by his mortal enemy David Wicks, Derek resorted into beating David up which forced David and his family leaving Walford in to avoid Derek's ruthlessness and aggression. In Derek and David were still arguing about Carol and Derek was still livid that David would break Carol's heart again.

After Pat's funeral Derek threatened David with violence and tried to kill him but his brothers Max Branning and Jack Branning restrained him so David was forced to leave Walford without Carol. Instead of adding more teens. How about giving Alfie a set of Balls.

Or even give Tracey a few lines behinf the bar! Can someone just please get rid of Derek Branning, he is just the pits! Don't bring an extended family This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. As lauren is dark haired and very much like her uncle derek, moody and unstable at times Welcome to walford alice xx. Isn't it time for some new family to appear? I love Tanya's mum, Cora -she seems to be taking over the wonderful role of matriarch of the Square ready for when Dot eventually retires but we need more senior aged characters-we've lost too many all at once -Peggy, Pat, even Patrick is away for a while and where's MO these days?

Bring 'em back! So looking forward to this! I think it would be really good for Derek to have more than just siblings on the square. We may get to see a calmer more sensitive, family-styled Derek.

I really hope Derek becomes a bit softer and leaves Alfie alone Does anyone remember Derek showing his daughter to Jack?? I bet he was either showing Alice or he thought it was Alice Derek's not the one sheltering that evil messed up Ben. I would rather have Derek under my roof than Phil anyday.

Ricky Grover 'Andrew' was once in 'not going out' as a comedy nutter guy, but managed to shed that type cast here. It would be nice if they could show a comedy side to these guys too, being a big bruiser is all very well, but it does get boring. Though I very much doubt the writers will let them be anything other than the usual cliche, especially now they have gone with the current storyline. Alice hanging around with a bloke from E20?

Just can't wait to see Derek's ballistic reaction. I wish Pete was here, he'd be perfect for Alice, I guess. This entry is now closed for comments. For the latest updates across BBC blogs, visit the Blogs homepage. Search term:. Read more.

Perhaps Phil's sentimentality won't continue now, but I like to imagine him taking up scrapbooking, his eyes softening as he glues old press shots of Grant and Kathy into his lace-edged memory album. On Coronation Street , Tyrone has been tinkering with dud boilers to ill effect.

Fiz has even succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning. The effects were obvious, but that didn't stop her staggering around for a week whimpering, "Ooh, I feel right peaky, my symptoms include nausea, light-headedness and a flushed complexion. They've abated somewhat in the fresh air but I'd better get meself indoors and have a nice hot bath — that's if the boiler's not playing up again! It's a medical miracle.

For most, finding yourself in the rain tearfully stuffing chips into your gob as you watch your sister and your ex bask in the glory of their love might inspire a flash of self-reflection. Most, but not Eva Price. Instead, after watching Nick and Leanne together she resolved simply to break the pair up and clutch Nick once again to her breast, whether he was willing or otherwise.

He's not quite the second division footballer she's always dreamed of, but he's got a shiny car, a shinier kitchen, and a girl's got to take what she can get. She needn't have bothered, though, as Peter Barlow turned up and sent Leanne's heart aflutter once more. Peter's off the bottle and emitting a glow that could be either a Californian tan or the gleaming smugness of sobriety. Leanne was powerless to resist and, soon enough, could be found in her wedding dress begging to return to her old life of endless scowls above the bookies.
